Dear Lord:
Jan 27/01

For you I give my life,
So forever I will live,
To see all of your heaven,
My soul to this I give,

In every single trial,
Every slip and every error,
My rage would just compile,
Without you being there,

Your love it never changes,
Nor weakens nor does it fade,
You behold all of the answers,
And see all of my ways,

You simply ask of me,
To follow you each day,
The time I spend at work,
The time I spend at play,

Though temptation follows me,
And thrashes through my brain,
A cry, a plea, in seconds,
you ward away the strain,

I know that when I fail,
The pain that you must feel,
Equals that of a sword,
Piercing head to heel,

Though I am forgiven,
I repent all of my sins,
Even ones I do not see,
Because I'm only human,

I read about you daily,
In your holy word,
I pray that you will watch,
My vision not be blurred,

When I see that someone,
Is searching for an answer,
They're lost, hurt, or betrayed,
I send them to you my master,

Quite often they agree,
To listen for awhile,
Just long enough to plant a seed,
Or rewrite their file,

I do not deny it's hard,
To live my life for you,
But when I look at how I was,
There's nothing I would not do,

For you I give my life,
So forever I will live,
To see all of your heaven,
My soul to this I give.

1 Corinthians 13: 1-7

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all myteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not boast, it does not envy, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

LIFE UPDATE

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I am now a father! My wife and I just gave birth (she played more of a part) to a beautiful baby girl. I have learned that sleep no longer is feasible. I get up in the morning, I get ready for my day at work and then leave. Half my day is shot. I then return home to a wife that wants nothing to do with the baby for the evening, so I accept the task. Little did I know that my wife was too tired to cook, or clean, and I just happen to be at the tail end of a fit of restlessness. Oh the joys and wonders of being a parent. But somehow, someway, when I look at my daughter and she smiles, I cannot help but fill with joy, and an everlasting peace. I have created, with the help of Jesus Christ, the most beautiful thing that I could ever possibly create. I then look at her and it is all worth while. The diapers, the crying, the constant weight of her beside. Quite honestly, I can't say I have ever experienced quite a phenomenon. She is my daughter, and I shall be her father for the rest of eternity
